Pag-aayos ng mesang panghandaan (Buffet Table) Sa ngayon ay uso sa mga malalaki at maging sa maliliit man na handaan ang paghahain na buffet o kani-kaniyang pagkuha ng pagkain sa mesa ng mga panauhin. Matapos kumuha ng kanilang pagkain ay dinadala na ng panauhin sa kanilang upuan o sa kung saan man panig ng bulwagan ang kinuha nilang pagkain at doon kumakain. Ang paraan ng hainan na ito ay malaking ginhawa para sa mga naghanda. Sapagkat hindi na siya nag-aabala ng pagdudulot ng mga pagkain sa kanyang nga bisita. At maging sa mga bisita, nagiging kasiya-siya para sa kanila ang gayong hainan, dahilan sa nagagawa nilang piliin at dagdagan ang mga pagkain na nais nila. Di gaya ng kung sila ay dinudulutan, ay nahihiya pa sila na kumuha ng marami o tumanggi kaya sa nagdulot sa kanila. |

Kaakit-akit na paghahain Ang kaakit-akit na paghahain ay isang mahalagang bagay na dapat isaalang-alang sa paghahanda. Masasarap man ang mga putaheng niluto natin, kung ang mga ito naman ay parang itinambak na lamang at sukat sa mesa, ay nakakawala ng gana. May mga pampalamuti sa ulam na hindi naman magugol. Gaya halimbawa ng letsugas, sibuyas na mura, malalaking kamatis, siling pula, pipino at pinya (sa lata). |

Miswa
Ingredients: 1 small bundle misua (fine rice vermicelli) 3 eggs 2 cup water 1 tablespoon veg oil 1 clove chopped garlic 1 onion 1 salt or patis and pepper to 1 taste Cooking Instructions: Saute garlic in oil until light brown. Add onion and saute until onion is translucent. Add water, salt or patis and pepper to taste. When the water boils add eggs whole, one at a time. Break misua into 3-inch lengths and add. Remove from heat and serve hot.

6 egg whites 6 tablespoon sugar 6 egg yolks 6 tablespoon sifted flour To 6 egg whites beaten until stiff, add the following by spoonfuls, beating well after each addition 6 tablespoons sugar, then add 6 yolks of eggs (well beaten). Blend well. Cut and fold into the mixture: 6 tablespoons sifted flour Pour into a jelly roll pan lined with greased paper. Bake for 15 minutes at 400F. Turn out on another sheet of paper sprinkled with sugar. Remove paper lining. Spread jam frosting over cake and roll. Dust surface with sugar. Slice crosswise. |

Ginataang Talong Recipe Ingredients: 1 onion 1 cup coconut cream 1 salt and pepper to taste 1 talong- eggplants Cooking Instructions: Roast eggplants in oven or over gas flame. Peel and chop fine. Peel onions and slice crosswise very fine. Heat oil in pan, add onions and fry until translucent. Add eggplants, stir for a couple of minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat, add coconut cream, let sit several minutes to develop the flavours.

Bulanglang Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup malunggay leaves* 1 cup squash, cubed 1 cup upo (gourd), sliced 1 spinach or kang kong 1 cup tokwa (tofu), cubed and 1 fried 1/2 onion 1 cup water 1 tomatoes Cooking Instructions: Mix tomatoes, onion, and squash in a deep sauce pan or pot. Add water and boil. After 5 minutes cooking, add tokwa and upo. When the upo is almost tender, add malunggay and cook 2 minutes longer or until malunggay leaves are wilted. Remove from heat. Salt and pepper to taste (or instead of salt, you can add patis, it will give a better flavour). Garnish with fresh tomatoes and cilantro or kinchay (Chinese celery) |
