Hong Kong actually has many green areas within the city where you can enjoy a relaxing walk in the outdoors, meet with friends or simply get away from it all for a while. One favorite with locals is the Hong Kong Zoological & Botanical Gardens. Located in Central, this scenic spot is home to many rare species of birds and wildlife. Some of the park's attractions include the orang-utan and huge flocks of bright pink flamingos and scarlet ibises. The zoo is open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm daily, while the rest of the park is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, Admission is free.
